Federal Capital Territory (FCT) police operatives, military and other security agencies have commenced ‘show of force’ to ensure that the seat of power is secure.

The Commissioner of Police, Sadiq Idris Abubakar, who led the movement, yesterday, assured residents, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and relevant stakeholders of adequate preparation for tomorrow’s Presidential and National Assembly elections.

He said the command, through the Inter-agency Consultative Committee on Election Security (ICCES), is working with other security agencies to secure the public space for successful conduct of the polls.

The CP also advised residents to comply with vehicular movement restriction of 12:00a.m. to 6:00p.m. on election day. He warned that security forces have been ordered to arrest violators.
