APC candidate, Waive, wins Delta Reps seat

Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), yesterday, declared the member representing Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Rev. Francis Ejiroghene Waive, as the winner of Saturday’s election.

The Returning Officer for the Constituency, Prof. Mary Edema, announced the results at INEC collation office in Ughelli, Delta State.

Waive is the candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) and he defeated the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Solomon Ahwinahwi and Labour Party (LP) in the keenly contested election.

Edema said Waive of the APC polled 42,226 votes from the three councils to win the election.
