The Christ Apostolic Church (C.A.C) Greater Light Assembly, Abaranje, Lagos, will commence its yearly prayer conference, tagged: “Obabasiri” and with the topic “Anu ma yanju e” from March 17 to June 7, 2023. Its Senior Pastor, Prophet Wale Komolafe, in an interview with CHRIS IREKAMBA explains that the conference aims at attracting God’s mercy to tackle the numerous challenges facing the nation.
What are the expectations of this year’s Obabasiri, 12-special-Wednesday prayer conference?
This year’s Obabasiri will run from March 17 to June 7, 2023. Our expectation is to tackle every bad situation in the lives of the people through the mercy of God. We are looking up to God’s mercy to silence every foundational and evil curse in the lives of the sons and daughters of God and also to release them to fulfill their destinies. People should expect the mercy and goodness of God; nothing less!
What is the vision behind this yearly Obabasiri prayer conference?
When I attended C.A.C Theological Seminary, Ilesa, we had a slogan tagged, Obabasiri. With this slogan even if you don’t have food you will definitely eat because God provides for His people. This covenant is working for me in the ministry and God has impressed it on me to adapt Obabasiri as a yearly programme of C.A.C Greater Light Assembly.
What has been the impact of this programme in the lives of participants since its inception?
Quite a lot of people have been blessed at this meeting with profound testimonies. Every year, people from various denominations attend the programme. Obabasiri has become a registered name in the minds of the participants because it is a covenant tag. We have testimonies of deliverance, huge debt cancellations, fruitfulness for the expectant mothers, pains disappearance, lives and marriage restorations, visas to overseas, breakthrough in careers and businesses and house ownership, among other wonderful testimonies in the lives of the participants.
What informed this year’s topic, Anu Ma Yanju E?
2023 is our year of God’s mercy and goodness. In the course of prayers, the spirit of God ministered the topic, “Anu ma yanju e” to me. This year’s Obabasiri is the fourth edition. Anu ma yanju e simply means that ‘mercy will settle the problems, challenges, difficulties, mountains and expectations in the lives of the people.’ This is why we have invited some pastors and fathers in the faith to minister to the topic.
Who are the main targets of this year’s conference?
They are people that have mountains before them and those in critical situations. We also target people that have godly visions they want to accomplish this year. We are also targeting people that have been praying for years and nothing positive is happening to them. We hope to see people whose destinies have been tied down by barriers such as bad system, policies and evil foundations. We are targeting people that believe God’s mercy can settle their situations. God’s mercy is what our nation needs to overcome its present challenges. It is only the mercy of God that can bring a way of escape to the people and also to help them fulfill their destinies. We expect as many as possible, all sons and daughters of God from all walks of life to the programme. We want them to come and receive their healing, deliverance, miracles, salvation, victory and breakthrough.
Will there be any special feature this year?
We have invited some pastors that will pray and minister to the people. Also, some artistes will minister in songs, while support materials will be distributed to widows. The programme is majorly for prayers, sharing God’s word and touching widows’ lives.
How can participants prepare themselves for the conference?
They should sanctify themselves, keep away from sin and show mercy to anyone that comes around them. They should also have very high expectations because expectations determine manifestations. They should come to God’s presence with their critical needs and believe in God for miracles.
Who are the guest ministers expected at the conference?
I have my father in the Lord, Pastor Francis Olaniyi from C.A.C Theological Seminary. He will give us the yearly blessings as usual. Others are: Pastor Femi Olajide of C.AC, Olusi, headquarters and chairman of the church; Pastor Ige Shina from C.A.C Ejigbo Area; Pastor Tolade, the D/S C.A.C Ilupeju; and Lady Evangelist (Prophetess) Tosin Ajayi from Ibadan. The gospel artistes are Deborah Aaron and Sister Tope Folarin, among others.
