
Executive Secretary, Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), Simbi Wabote, is set to meet Legislators, and experts in the Oil and Gas Industry at the forthcoming annual, Practical Nigerian Content( PNC) Forum to discuss the country’s content initiatives and current economic climate.
The forum, which has been slated to hold between November 22 and 24, 2016 in Abuja is geared towards addressing the challenges of both the lower oil prices and reduced activities in the Nigerian oil and gas industry as well as issues surrounding Content compliance requirements.
The two days forum which is themed ‘Re-energising Nigerian Content for Todays’ Operating Environment,’ is the sixth in the series and promises to explore the challenges being faced by industry players and facilitate the development of new strategies to strengthen Nigerian Content in today’s’ operating environment.
Wabote, during the forum would not only discuss plans of the NCDMB with legislators, but also answer key questions and deliberate on topics that would be raised by key players in the country.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, Anthony Akah, and Ag, National Coordinator for the Office of Nigerian Content Information and Communication Technology, Inye Kemabonta, would also join Wabote and Chairman of the House Committee on Local Content, Emmanuel Ekon, to discuss Nigerian Content legislation and governance in the Power and ICT sectors.
Other industry experts also expected at the event include, Chairman – Senate Committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream), Senator Donald Alasoadura Director; Department of Petroleum Resources, Mordecai Ladan ; and Chairman, Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN), Bank Anthony Okoroafor.
