Nigerian singer and songwriter, Chidinma Ekile, has revealed in a YouTube post that she was born blind.

The ‘Kedike’ singer who recently transitioned to becoming a gospel artist in 2021 in a video posted on her YouTube channel,

revealed that she was born visually impaired, and her parents tried everything they could to help her see.

She said that her mother eventually made a deal with God, and miraculously, Chidinma regained her sight.

She has since dedicated her life to God and encourages others to do the same. Chidinma rose to fame in 2010 after winning the third season of Project Fame West Africa, and her music video for “Emi Ni Baller” made her the first female artist to reach number one on the MTV Base Official Naija Top 10 chart.
