In a candid interview with The Washington Post, actress and comedian Tiffany Haddish has revealed that she has had eight miscarriages. The 43-year-old star said that she decided to speak out about her experience in order to raise awareness about the issue of pregnancy loss.

“I’ve had eight miscarriages,” Haddish said. “I’ve got a uterus shaped like a heart. It just won’t keep anything in.”

Haddish said that she kept her miscarriages private for many years because she didn’t want people to worry about her. “I didn’t want people saying, ‘Are you OK? Are you all right? Like a wounded animal, I just rather go in a cave by myself. Lick my wounds.’ she said.

However, Haddish said that she decided to speak out now because she wants to help other women who have experienced pregnancy loss. “I want people to know that they’re not alone,” she said. “I want them to know that it’s not their fault.”

Haddish’s interview comes at a time when there is growing awareness about the issue of pregnancy loss. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, about 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage. However, many women feel ashamed or embarrassed to talk about their experiences, which can make it difficult for them to get the support they need.
