Nigerian veteran entertainer Charly Boy is the next to give his backing for afrobeat star, Davido, after condemning  the actions of some Northern Youth who were videoed burning Davido’s banner

The video which has been making rounds on social media, can be seen with some northern youths raining abuses on the singer, while also burning his images. However, that didn’t go down well, with “Areafada” as he is fondly called. 

He tweeted, saying “Abegi, make we hear the word. Una dey burn Davido picture, una life don better? Abi Na Davido dey increase poverty for the north? Una Allah wey dey do local runs for northern Nigeria never travel go Dubai see as correct Muslims dey live? Abegi, if e pain una reach, go to court.Nonsense”

Recall that Davido has come under heavy criticism, for a video he posted doing a short music section, of which some people can be seen dressed as praying Muslims, which hasn’t gone well with some sections of the Muslim faithful. 

Though the video has been deleted and while Davido has not said anything concerning the whole issue, some Islamic clerics demand an apology from the afrobeat singer; first, it was Wole Soyinka who condemned anything apology, but now Charly Boy has also condemned the behavior of the northern youths urging them to rather go to court if they feel pained.
