Speaking at the school’s end of session party and prize-giving day, the Principal, Akin Williams Adedamola, said the party was aimed at encouraging the students to put in more effort in the next academic session.

Adedamola said persistence, discipline and a unique approach to teaching have been the driving force behind the school’s success and continued existence.

Noting that the school has had its fair share of challenges, the principal said these notwithstanding, they have kept going.

He, however, lamented that the current economic challenges pose a serious threat to school owners and parents, as they find it hard to keep things running or pay fees.

Adedamola advised the government to consider subsidy and tax rebate for schools, saying it would go a long way to reduce the hardship in the sector.

The proprietor, Matthew Oliyide, expressed happiness at the performance of the students and commended them for posting good results.

He thanked God that the school, which started 22 years ago with four students, now has six branches and thousands of students across Lagos.

Oliyide, who said the school was established to raise children in low income households and provide them with quality education, expressed concern at the challenges confronting the sector and appealed to the government to prioritise education.

The proprietor urged the government to support private school owners with tax incentives, subsidies and access to facilities.
