The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has said that Nigeria is currently fighting too many wars.
  
He said the country needs to win the war against kidnapping, terrorism, hunger and find a lasting solution to the ever rising dispute between farmers and herders.
  
Speaking, yesterday, at the ongoing 71st Convention of the church, Adeboye said that surely Nigeria doesn’t need war within or without her borders, but the country should be more concerned about the wars within.
  
While not making a direct statement as regards the threat of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), whose chairman is the President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to attack the coupists in Niger, who have refused to restore President Mohamed Bazoum ousted from office on July 26 by his Presidential Guards, Adeboye said that Nigeria was already being confronted with so many wars at the same time. Indeed, Adeboye, who spoke on ‘Beyond Expectations’ and clad in green suit, asked the congregants to pray for peace in Nigeria, Africa and the world.
    
According to him, there are still places in Nigeria where people go to bed not sure they will wake up the next day without being gruesomely murdered.
  
Meanwhile, Adeboye has debunked the claim that there are demons at the Redemption City of God, which he consults before ministrations, especially whenever he says ‘God said there is someone here.’
   
“Ordinarily, I don’t want to comment, but I have been persuaded to set the record straight.” Adeboye, who was sure that he never consulted demons, asked the congregation to pray that God should kill him before dawn of the new day, if he is into any diabolic means, but God should multiply His power in his life seven folds if otherwise.
   
The RCCG G.O used the occasion to call on Nigerians to continue to pray and be rest assured that God will answer the country’s prayers.
