Fast rising comic actor and movie producer, Femi Babs, popularly known as Zualakate, is making waves in a recently released movie titled ‘Like Father Like Son’, which he produced alongside Nollywood veteran, Pete Edochie, who remarked that Femi reminds him of the late Sam Loco Efe while shooting with other big names in the movie location.

After a long time of pairing both national icons in movie, Femi unites them in his blockbuster movie that sparked off a remembrance of the main characters in the past decades, who inspired many young actors in the movie industry in Nigeria like Edochie, Nkem Owoh and late Sam Loco.

The graduate of Business Administration from Benson Idahosa University, who recently stormed Enugu to shoot his next movie, said he was astonished when Edochie extolled his acting prowess and told him how he reminds them of the late Sam Loco.

Speaking about the movie, the Osun state born instagram comedian said: “The inspiration behind this is the fact that every generation is designed to be an improvement on the former. So, be careful what you teach a child because he could do it better than you. I looked at the place of fatherhood in the world today in the place of leadership and I realised that everything falls and rises on leadership and fatherhood is leadership.”

Commenting on the comic producer, who also acted in the lead role in the movie, Edochie said: “He is a brilliant young man. No doubt about it. He knows what he wants and he is approaching production from a comic angle which I think is going to help him a great deal. It will help him a great deal because most people who actually approach production from that angle were successful but they didn’t sustain their success, but Femi shows a lot of promise. He doesn’t appear to me to be limited in any way. One is that he speaks very good English and he has a very clear vision. And to do a mini production featuring me and Nkem Owoh and then of course planting himself in between I think he is a very ambitious young man.

“One other thing about this young guy is his ability to pick up something spontaneously. There was a fellow of mine who was doing that very much, Sam Loco. I think there were only three of us who had the capability to do that, Myself, Sam Loco, Nkem Owoh. Whatever thing you throw at Nkem, he can pick it up and create something in the spur of the moment. It is very few people who do that.”
