Why I rejected $5m from foreign investors for paynownow – Nicholas Nome

The Executive Chairman and Founder of Paynownow Group, Nicholas Nome, has rejected $5million from foreign investor over paynownow.com which he invented.

The Lagos base tech guru, in his statement with newsmen, said investors contacted him via his LinkedIn profile in which he agreed with his team to have conversation, as well as series of conference video meetings.

Nome said he declined their investment offer because his team believes the utilities service website and mobile transfer service would generate much more profit than the amount in a few years.

Recall that the mobile website was launched in April 2020 and has since gained a whole lot of momentum.

The app which is still in process of launch was designed for users to buy cheap airtime, data, pay electricity bills and cable TV bills with ease in Nigeria.

Nome, who is a young and fast-rising Nigerian Tech Entrepreneur, has distinguished himself among his contemporaries as a strong-willed, tenacious and passionate young chap.

He further explained that the introduction of the paynownow mobile app is the rejuvenation of modernity, adding that paynownow is here to make transactions easy for Nigerians.

“It is an unarguable fact that no one walks down to vendors to sort their bills any longer when they can do so online that is one of the more reasons this App will succeed and I am optimistic about the future of the app and it’s acceptablility.

“The paynownow app has generated a whole lot just within the period of its launch and this has shown you how valuable this product is and its going to solve problems for many users in the coming years,” he stated.
