
Omotosho Damola, the Chief Executive Officer of Sharp Logistics based in Lagos State has just completed his Masters Degree in Data Science at Coventry University, United Kingdom.
Damola who celebrated his graduation with his mates in London told our correspondent on Wednesday that his success story is a result of hard work and commitment to his academic pursuance.
The Computer Science graduate of Kwara State University said the first two months of his academics pursuant in Coventry University was the toughest.
He said, “It was a tough transition period for me as I arrived in a winter season and the cold weather is not something I was accustomed to. Also transitioning from physical means of learning to using digital methods like AULA was a bit tough as every submission and assessment needed to be done online instead of a physical examination like I had been accustomed to.
“There was also a bit of an adjustment that needed to be done regarding culture and social changes and that was a bit tough for an African boy coming to live in Europe for the first time.
“Weather, food, social and cultural adjustments while trying to focus on studies and be able to carry out my assessments accurately in an all-digital way was the struggle coming into Coventry University,” he added.
Speaking on the value the programme will add to his life and business, Damola said he has always been a result-oriented and value-driven individual who does not only try as much as possible to utilize every opportunity but also input all the leanings into practical to make his business and life unique.
“When I started the programme, I knew where I was going and my target goals after its completion, so it has not changed and I will continue to strive to achieve them all.”
