To ensure that more professionals are in tune with standard technological practice in carrying out their duties, tech guru and co-founder, of Africa TechHub, Sean Badiru, has trained the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) professionals in Ogun State.
Badiru lead facilitator at the capacity building seminar told the beneficiaries: “To optimise our work efficiency as HR professionals, we need to identify and prioritise our tasks and develop good time management habits. We must also clearly define our goals and objectives, and minimise distractions during work by creating a conducive work environment,” he said.
He also stated that it was time for HR practitioners to start embracing the transformative power of technology in the profession, as neglecting it could have a significant impact on their overall output.
“We must embrace and engage digital tools to enhance efficiency in the HR Industry. It helps to automate repetitive and time-consuming tasks and also streamlines processes. It can radically improve our efficiency and enable seamless communication and collaboration among team members,” he added.
He also ran through several Productivity Tools that are very useful for modern HR Professionals, including Google Workspace, Microsoft Office 365, Trello, Open AI, Colornote and Slack, among many others. He stated that these tools would help HR Professionals realize optimal output, by simplifying their day-to-day tasks.
Badiru who is also Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Managers, Ogun State Branch said the demands of the profession in the job market is on the increase, hence staying pertinent would require both adequate knowledge and execution.
