The Pastor in-charge of the ministry, Pastor Ademola Ojo Joseph, who preached on the theme: “All Sufficient God” called on the beneficiaries to focus on God and not on government or any other person, saying God can use anybody to meet one’s needs. He cited Abraham who had need in his life and because he depended on the all-sufficient God, God was able to meet his needs.
He said: “Abraham had a need he cannot meet by himself. All efforts he made were abortive, but one day God said to him, ‘I have promised you I will do it’ and God kept to His words. So, if He said they should seek Him first, He it becuase has the power to meet our needs. God did not disappoint Abraham. He settled Abaham, and Sarah was able to conceive and gave birthday to Isaac. So, there is no impossibility with our God; He can do anything for us if only we can trust Him. We should not allow our focus to be on government but on God first. He can use anybody to meet our needs.”
The Guardian spoke to one of the medical personnel, Nurse Oduntan, who affirmed that the outreach is a yearly programme of the ministry.
According to her, it is a medical outreach and God has been using us to attend to many patients.
“We check their blood pressure, do random blood sugar; we are also do HIV and malaria test. Once we check a patient’s BP and if it is not normal, we would encourage them to continue to take their drugs or give out some. Those that are HIV positive, we direct them to the nearest government hospitals for treatment. We also dispense drugs to the people, as well.”
Some of the people who benefitted from the incentive expressed their gratitude to God and to the Ministry.
According to Mayowa Samuel, a beneficiary, “I received rice, clothes and my prayer for the church is that God will bless them. I don’t worship here, but I am a Christian.”
Another beneficiary, Mrs. Olayinka, said: “We are saying big thank to the church for supporting us and meeting us at the point of our needs. We are very grateful. I received rice, garri, shoes, clothes, bags and other things.”
For Olabode Jamiu, “I received rice; they also checked my blood pressure and gave me drugs. They should keep it up and God will be with them.”
