Moses Simon is a problem for opponents – says Nantes coach
FC Nantes coach Pierre Aristouy has praised Moses Simon following his breathtaking performance in a 5-3 win over FC Lorient, calling the Nigerian attacker a’very efficient player’ who causes problems for opponents.
Simon was highly instrumental to Nantes securing an impressive victory against Lorient in a French Ligue 1 encounter on Saturday, as he scored one goal and came up with two assists.
Junior put Lorient which was the away side, ahead as early as the sixth minute of the match, before Mathis Albine equalised in the 42nd minute off an assist from Simon.
Comert made it 2-1 for the host in the 46th minute before Mostafa Mohammed increased the tally to 3-1 while Lucien Favre halved the deficit to 3-2 in the 75th minute.
Florent Mollet made it 4-2 in the 83rd minute with an assist from Simon before the Nigerian winger netted the fifth goal in the 99th minute from the penalty spot.
Aristouy thereafter heaped plaudits on Simon. “Moses Simon is a very efficient player and a problem for our opponents,” The French football manager told the official website of Nantes.
The 28-year-old Nigerian attacker has so far hit the back of the net two times and contributed three assists in six Ligue 1 appearances for Nantes during the 2023/24 season.
