The Founder and General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry (OPM), Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, has settled the medical bills of baby seized by a private Maternity at Ikoku in Diobu l, Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
The cleric also recovered the baby from the management of the said hospital, who had refused to return the baby to the mother, Patience Ekenam James, until payment was made.
Apostle Chinyere got to know about the development when his Aide de Camp (ADC), Inspector Onoen Okoi, went to Ikoku to fix his car and Miss James approached him, and narrated her plight.
Okoi followed her to the location, where he discovered that it is a private maternity.
“When my ADC confronted the owner of the maternity, demanding for the release of the child to her mother, the owner said the girl delivered in her maternity and was billed N15, 000, but she couldn’t pay.
“As a result, the baby was seized from her pending when she would settle her bills. So, my ADC put a call to me and I transferred the N15, 000, so the baby could be released,“ the cleric stated.
The Guardian gathered that after payment by Apostle Chinyere, the owner of the maternity could not provide the baby, but allegedly claimed that the baby was gone and could not be brought back.
