Kidnapping of worshippers evil, says CAN

Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ondo State chapter, has described the recent abduction of 25 choristers of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Oke-Igan, Akure, Ondo State capital by suspected kidnappers as an act of evil and wickedness.

While condemning incessant kidnapping of travellers within the Ifon axis in the Ose Council of the state, the CAN Chairman in the state, Rev. Father Anselm Ologunwa, called on the state government and security agencies to, as a matter of urgency, secure the release of the victims.

Ologunwa efforts made since the ugly incident by the church, security agencies, and families of the victims, assuring them of the support of all Christians in the state towards their release.

The CAN chairman expressed disappointment towards the alarming rate of insecurity and other social vices across Nigeria, just as he urged the Christian community not to relent in their prayers for the nation and its leaders.
