Fanfaro Autofest, the premier automotive celebration that has been captivating car enthusiasts for years, is gearing up for its most thrilling event, themed “The Unmask Edition.”

Fanfaro Autofest 2023 is scheduled to take place at TCTC testing ground Eleyele Ibadan, Oyo State, on December 3, 2023.

Speaking at the Fanfaro Autofest 2023 press conference to announce the event, the organisers provided a sneak peek into what promises to be an automotive spectacle like no other.

The organisers promised to break new ground with the theme, which they said is a nod towards celebrating the fifth-year anniversary and collaborating with five different countries, providing their best drifters to come represent and compete for the Drift Champion.

The Managing Director of Fanfaro Autofest, Mr. Olanrewaju Adekunle, said the theme, “The Unmask Edition,” is about unveiling five different drifters from five different countries to celebrate five years of hosting the event.

He said it is a celebration of the automotive industry’s indomitable spirit, innovation, and the unwavering dedication of auto enthusiasts worldwide.

“We are thrilled to host an event that will unmask the incredible stories and creative minds working behind the scenes,” he said.

Giving details of activities lined up for the fest, Adekunle said the event will kick off with a welcome and unveiling session for drifters coming from five countries, which are South Africa, Estonia, Lebanon, Egypt, Ghana, and other guests.

He said that on the second day, drifters and bikers will assemble at the drift arena for a final car and ground check ahead of the main competition, adding that in case of mechanical issues, drift-unworthy cars will be disqualified by the jury.

Speaking about the main event, Adekunle said this year’s event will feature heavyweight drifters from five participating countries competing for the ultimate prize of $10,000 worth of prizes, along with over 100 power-bikers and local stunters.

Regarding community engagement, Adekunle said Fanfaro Autofest will give back to the community through charitable activities and initiatives.

“We believe in making a positive impact, and this year, we’re collaborating with local organizations to support important causes. Attendees are encouraged to embrace the theme by donning creative masks that reflect their automotive passion while exploring the incredible world of automobiles,” he said.
