
A statement by the minister’s Special Adviser, Strategic Communication and Media Relations, Mr. Bolaji Tunji, quoted the minister as saying it is a fact finding meeting aimed at ensuring a lasting solution to the challenges in power sector that have negatively affected the country’s growth and development.
The minister said that regular meeting with all the stakeholders in the value chain would be adopted to constantly review developments in the sector.
He described the gathering as the most authentic way of getting valuable information on the challenges faced by the operators as opposed to speculations.
Adelabu challenged the operators to synergise for the success of the power industry, soliciting for support to forge a practical solution beyond theory.
“Power is one of the most important things we need to energise the economy to achieve the desired economic growth and industrial development,” he said.
In the meeting, which lasted several hours, he raised the need for operators in power sector to make impact.
