Media mogul Tajuddeen Adepetu and other Nigerian men were honoured at the just concluded Ghana’s 8th annual EMY Africa Awards held Saturday, 4th October 2023, in Accra.
EMY Africa recognised Tajuddeen Adepetu with the Media Excellence Award.
The prestigious event was hosted by Nigeria’s Nancy Isime and distinguished Ghanaian media personality Nathaniel Attoh.
The 8th edition spanned categories such as Man of the Year, Humanitarian Award, Young Achiever Award, Lifetime Achievement Award, Diasporan Award, Continental Icon Award, Technology Award, Woman of the Year, The Guardian Award, Health Award, and the Agriculture Award, Man of the Year Music, Discovery of the Year, Actor of the Year, and Designer of the Year.
Receiving the award in proxy as he had official duties with the president in Nigeria he thanked EMY Africa for the award.
Alongside Adepetu, other Nigerians honoured at the event include Dele Momodu (Foremost Cultural Ambassador Between Nigeria And Ghana); Cobhams Asuquo (Man Of Courage); and software guru Olugbenga Agboola, (Man Of The Year Technology). Each recipient went home with their symbolic gold plaque.
The event, which had notable personalities as special guests, was sponsored by Guardian Life, and 0ther sponsors. It was a night of fun, music, celebration and good food.
