Barely two weeks after the kidnap of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (DVC) of the Nasarawa State University Keffi (NSUK), and four other students of the varsity, gunmen struck again on Sunday, and abducted a female lecturer, as well as a professor’s wife and daughter.
The lecturer, Dr Comfort Adokwe of the faculty of Administration was kidnapped at her residence in Angwan Jaba, Keffi, when the gunmen invaded her home with sporadic shooting that created fear within the neighbourhood.
Similarly, the wife and daughter of Prof. Isaac Ogara were picked at their residence in Lafia.
Speaking on the incident, a resident of Keffi, Abdulkareem Shehu, urged the Federal Government to do something on the economy, as the incessant abduction of innocent citizens has become a lucrative job for some people.
Another resident, Mrs Ayuba Margaret, lamented the spate of kidnapping and killings in the state, saying ‘no one is safe in Nasarawa State’.
