All Progressives Congress (APC), United States chapter (APC-USA), yesterday, warned Nigerians both in diaspora and at home against bogus claims by one Tai Balofin, whom it said has been parading himself as the chairman of APC-USA chapter.
    
The party said the National Chairman of APC-USA remains Prof. Adesegun Labinjo, while his two deputies are Mr. Abdullahi Gambo and Chief Emeka Molokwu. It named Judge Dele Alade as the Chairman of APC-USA Board of Trustees (BoT) and the Publicity Secretary as Dr. Ismaila Maigyara.
   
Speaking with The Guardian, National Secretary of the party, Ademola Feyi Tijani,  said, “It has come to the attention of APC-USA that one Tai Balofin, is claiming and purporting to be the chairman of APC USA chapter and has issued a so-called ‘public alert’ about a purported plot by National Democratic Coalition (NADECO) to discredit President Bola Tinubu.
    
“We again advise members of the public that Tai Balofin is not the chairman of APC-USA. He is not even a member of APC; hence he cannot be the chairman of APC-USA.
  
Tijani said records of APC-USA’s national officers are at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja Nigeria, since the formation of the party in 2013 for members of the public to verify.
   
Tijani said the purported ‘public alert’ was a publicity stunt intended to fraudulently collect money from unsuspecting party leaders and supporters in Nigeria.
