‘Why Kanu is not a terrorist’

Aloy Ejimakor, counsel for the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has given reasons why Kanu should not be tagged a terrorist.

Ejimakor, in a tweet he personally confirmed to The Guardian, yesterday,
argued that a terrorist can never be awarded monetary compensation by three High Courts and unconditional release by the Court of Appeal and the United Nations, which he stated applied to Kanu.

He said: “This truth is self-evident. He’s not a terrorist; he’s a leader of millions and legions, who will never relent until he’s freed.”
Kanu has been in detention since June 2021 after he was deported to Nigeria from Kenya.
