Study abroad practitioners and stakeholders in the international education industry are set to deliberate on the process of co-creating a future for foreign education within the region, while also celebrating excellence within the sector.
The event, tagged, “The InterNational Education (TINE) Africa Summit and Awards,” will empower participants to build strong networks with potential partners and stay informed about industry verities.

Programme Coordinator, Louis Adekola, said the event, billed to hold between December 7 and 8, is themed: “Thinking ahead: Envisioning the future of international education in Sub-Saharan Africa.”
Adekola said 469 nominations were received for 21 categories, while 19 awards would be presented, including 18 voting categories and the TINE Africa Lifetime Achievement Award.
He said: “This award is presented to an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the international education industry in Africa and continues to be a source of inspiration to people both within and outside the region.
Some expected speakers at the summit include international officers of universities in the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and the United States, as well as directors of study abroad agencies from Nigeria, Ghana and Kenya.
