‘Wake Me Up’ is an Afro-fusion party song with beautiful elements of Amapiano, Afropop and Afro- house that immediately wakes you up and sets you in mood to party and get it started on the dance floor.

The song highlights the musical prowess of popular Nigerian singer and songwriter, Hotkid. As a sought-after collaborator, Hotkid has also lent his instantly recognisable voice and irresistibly catchy lyrics to a string of notable Afrobeats hits this year, including Rexxie’s ‘Gazo’, Shayo Davids’ ‘Green Light’, Poco Lee’s “’Otilo (Izz Gone)’ to name a few.

DJ Hacord gets into a power alliance with Africa’s foremost independent digital distribution company – Dvpper Digital who are set to distribute this thrilling track infused with infectious Afro-beats, minimal percussion, and groovy lyrics across all digital platforms.

A&R for ‘Wake me up’ was handled by Kasumu Tope, and having already activated a ‘Wake me up’ campaign on Tiktok. DJ Hacord is well on his way to making sure this becomes the sound of the season and a ‘Detty December anthem’.
