Iwobi finishes second in Fulham’s Man of the Match award

Despite scoring two goals in the 5-0 win against Nottingham Forest in Wednesday’s Premier League game Alex Iwobi finished second in the Fulham’s Man of the Match award.

Iwobi was beaten to the award by Raul Jimenez who also scored two goals in the comfortable win.

Jimenez polled 48.2% of the votes to finish ahead of Iwobi who got 20.9% while Tom Cairney came in third with 19.8% of the vote.

According to a statement by Fulham, Jimenez beat Iwobi to the award thanks to his holdup play and aerial prowess.

Iwobi’s two goals took his tally in the league this season to three in 13 appearances.

Also the 27-year-old has scored four goals in 15 games in all competitions for the London club.
