It’s the season of joy, and happiness again, and everyone should be excited, or at least put on a smile. This is how you should celebrate this Christmas especially with less than 10 days to it.

Therefore we have carefully selected the most memorable events to do this period, here are the top five things to do.
They say ‘love cost little to nothing’, yet leave a long-lasting impression on everyone it concerns. Currently, the situation of the country will plan for you and not you planning for it, that’s funny but it’s the reality, based on the economic situation, here’s what we strongly suggest you do this Christmas.
Instead of the old watching movies, traveling with friends, or making some elaborate feast with families, why not try out these things?
Visiting the sick:
You don’t have to know them or go with some expensive gifts, but showing compassion and empathy to the ones not fit enough to celebrate this Christmas, is ever better than a big feast. Mind you, this isn’t to say a big feast won’t go well too.
Remember some of them may be terminally sick, and that could be their last Christmas, from the moment you take the step into the place they are, till you depart, you give them hope, you give them a sense of belonging that they are not alone, you are doing something Christlike for this Christmas.
Spending time with aged parents;
The year is 365/366 days, and for many of us, it’s work, work and work round the clock. “A man must survive” however in the process of surviving, we neglect our close and old ones, especially our parents.
This Christmas is a golden chance to spend time with them wherever they are. Visit them with your family, or alone, spend time with them, do their dishes, like it was when you were much younger, hug them, and make their bones fit again, by causing little ruckus around them.
Make it accidental but deep down it’s intentional, spoiling something they will nag at you for, the way they used to scold you many years ago, this will help them and bring back beautiful memories of their stronger yesteryears.
Randomly give people gifts.
Yes, do something different, give random people who need it gifts when they least expect it. This shouldn’t just be a perishable gift, it could be used gadgets, it could be less expensive clothing. And if you must give perishable items, then it must be completely given.

I mean everything needed to prepare the dish for the items given, they don’t have to buy anything again necessary to cook them. It’s Christmas after all, and if you will bless a random person, do that completely. Christ must have blessed you in full not in bits.
Make peace with that person you have issues with:
Yes, pick up your phone and call that person you have been avoiding for many years or months now. Don’t wait till they call you, it’s time to let go of old grudges, it’s time to make yourself happy, and it’s time to look back and be happy Christmas came around.
After Christmas, you have won another friend to your side, and you have erased another thing perhaps disruptive of your blessed life or even disturbing your peaceful relationship with Christ.
When you do this, you have inspired someone to do the same. It could be your close relation, your friends, or even your boss, always remember it could be your last chance as well.
Lastly, Spread the Gift Of A Smile to everyone
Smiling releases endorphins, natural mood boosters, and reduces stress. Smiling also helps you appear more approachable and trustworthy, making people more likely to want to help you if you’re struggling. This is Christmas, and we all need a helping hand. You need one too, irrespective of who you are.
Therefore when next week comes, all you need to give everyone is a beautiful smile, to some, that’s the first time you are probably smiling, to some it’s the first time you smile so differently, and to others, it’s the first time they will have an opportunity to approach you.
Like the words of my dear mentor, “So dear Friend, My fate may be connected to you in some way, but it is not dependent on you. You may play a role in my journey, but my destination is not your mapping. So, if you get the chance to be of significance to my outcome, take it. Assist me if you can, or let me pass”
It’s the Christmas season..
