Eko Drive, an outdoor and networking automotive expo, has curated an indigenous car exhibition that celebrates the beauty of art and technology of cars.
The exhibition saw many luxurious, expensive and heritage supercars on display for the viewing pleasure of the public and auto enthusiasts at the second edition of the car exhibition.
At the exhibition, which was held at the Alliance Française/Mike Adenuga Centre in Ikoyi, Lagos, showcased Nigeria-built sports cars, exploring a spectrum of bikes while connecting with fellow automotive enthusiasts through networking.
According to the organisers of the exhibition, car owners were also invited to showcase their cars that are not normally seen on the streets.
One of the organisers, Ademide Osunsina, said the exhibition aimed to celebrate luxury and heritage cars.
Osunsina added that the exhibition brought together individuals who are interested in the auto industry and has them networking to meet different experts.
He also noted that the exhibition is to create awareness about cars that are not commonly seen on the road and also maintain heritage cars, bringing all old-fashioned cars together with their owners telling how they have been using and maintaining their cars.
Also, the creative director, Imran Ennin said: “We are here to show you cars that are made in Nigeria and heritage cars made from other countries.
“We are here to celebrate all these old and new version cars and prove that people can build such. Most classic car enthusiasts are interested in learning more about these supercars.”
At the event, talented Nigerian artists showcase not only the beauty of automotive design but also incorporate that with Nigerian art by painting the cars with different colors.
Cars on display include Porsche Cayenne, Mercedes-Benz coupe, BMW coupe, Pontiac Chieftain, Jaguar and several other high-end cars.
