The TV producer, posted the notification on her instagram handle on December 24, of which the Ghanaian vice president visited her. Afua appreciated the gesture as well as her fans. “God bless you for your support sir” she posted on her handle.

and entrepreneur, has successfully completed a remarkable five-day singing marathon in Accra, hoping to secure a place in the Guinness World Records.

With a hoarse voice and draped in the national flag, the 33-year-old expressed gratitude to the supporters who gathered in the capital to witness her achievement. Despite her exhaustion, she exceeded the previous sing-a-thon record by nearly 24 hours, awaiting official recognition from Guinness World Records.

Starting on Christmas Eve, Asantewaa performed for an impressive 126 hours and 52 minutes, adhering to Guinness rules allowing a five-minute break every hour or a 20-minute break after four hours.

Her marathon aimed not only for a record but also to inspire women to step out of their comfort zones and explore new opportunities.

Throughout the non-stop singing, well-wishers, including top music stars like Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, and Sarkodie, joined the crowds.

Asantewaa cycled through 125 songs representing Ghanaian music genres such as gospel, high-life, and hip-life, contributing to the promotion of her country’s rich cultural heritage.

Performing behind clear glass to minimize distractions, Asantewaa’s marathon was meticulously recorded, with named witnesses set to submit a report to Guinness World Records.

Her effort follows a trend of record-breaking enthusiasm, with neighboring Nigeria recently captivated by a chef’s 90-hour cooking marathon.

As Asantewaa awaits official recognition, The GWR; is yet to make any official announcement.
