Captain’s House Fellowship provides healthcare support to Orilе Agеgе, Alimosho Gеnеral Hospitals

In a bid to provide basic healthcare support for the less privileged in society, the Captain’s House Fellowship recently reached out to patients at the Orile Agege General Hospital and the Alimosho General Hospital.

Having the conviction that every person is entitled to the fundamental human right of quality healthcare, the fellowship embarked on a goodwill initiative to address the harsh realities faced by those who cannot afford necessary medical care.

During the outreach, the Fellowship provided essential oxygen support to patients suffering from meningitis and seizures, offered full financial assistance for the treatment of some diabetic patients, oversaw a lifesaving blood transfusion of a child with sickle cell anaemia, among many other far-reaching gestures.

According to the founder, The Captain’s House Fellowship, Dr. Toye Sobande this drive is in renewed pledge to champion the cause of the disenfranchised in society. “I share in the collective heartache we feel as we observe the devastating effects of poverty on health and well-being, particularly among the vulnerable children, and adults who suffer due to inadequate healthcare access.”

Dr. Sobande also made a public call for everyone to unite in this virtuous cause, noting that the benevolent donations would always shine as rays of hope, directly lessening the financial strain of medical treatment for those who would otherwise have no options. “Together, we can plant the seeds of empathy and restoration, creating a future where no one is abandoned in their moment of greatest need.”

He added that the initiative was an exemplification of the fellowship’s commitment to provide support, and seek assistance for underserved socioeconomic groups: “The initiative began in January, and it sparked the resolve to bring about substantial improvements in the lives of the underserved. Driven by the organisation’s medical and healthcare support fundraising efforts, we are determined to address the harsh realities faced by those who cannot afford necessary medical care.”

The fellowship were received by the hospital’s staff, including Olarenwaju Kelekun of Obstetrics and Gynecology on behalf of Dr. Adesola Pitan, the MD/CEO, and made a significant impact.

Their kindness provided financial relief for medical bills, securing crucial medication for several patients in urgent need. The fellowship’s selflessness was indeed life-changing for these patients, demonstrating the Captain’s House Fellowship’s dedication to making a palpable difference in society.

The Captain’s House Fellowship also offered spiritual support in addition to financial assistance, praying for the hospital staff and patients, affirming their commitment to comprehensive care. This initiative is more than just a fulfillment of the fellowship’s corporate social responsibility; it is a manifestation of their profound belief in manifesting Christly love through practical service to those in need.

The outreach provided loads of relief and highlighed the importance of charity, which resonated throughout the entire community. The significance of such an initiative is immeasurable, as it offered essential relief to patients and health practitioners alike.
