Taylor Swift Breaks Guinness, Spotify World Records
Taylor Swift’s latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department” sets Guinness World Record while also breaking Spotify records since its release on April 19, 2024.
“The tortured poets department” breaks a Guinness World Record with over 313.7 million filtered streams in just 24 hours.
Swift claims titles for the most day-one streams of an album and the most streamed album on Spotify within a day.
The album’s standout track, “Fortnight (feat. Post Malone),” alone amassed 25.2 million streams on its release day, securing Swift’s dominance on Spotify’s charts.
On its release day, Taylor Swift’s album dominated Spotify’s “Daily Top Songs Global” chart, occupying all 16 spots with its standard tracks.
Setting unprecedented records, it became the first album to exceed 200 and 300 million streams on Spotify within a single day.
Taylor Swift announced “The Tortured Poets Department” two months prior at the Grammy Awards while accepting the Best Pop Vocal Album award.

The Grammy winner clinched her fourth Album of the Year award, surpassing Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, and Paul Simon, becoming the vocalist with the most album of the year at the Grammys
Meanwhile, Swift is gearing up to resume her record-breaking Eras tour next month in France.
With earnings exceeding $1 billion, the tour has become the highest-grossing music tour in history.
