#KenyanWomen Trended in Nigeria, Here Is What We Know

A recent conversation on the social media platform ‘X’ on the nature of the relationship between Kenyan women and Nigerian men has been trending.
According to the X account called Omo Naija, some Kenyan women are scamming Nigerian men by pretending to love them.
The Allegations
The ‘X’ user alleges that these women go to the extent of marrying Nigerian men, only to later falsely accuse them of crimes. These accusations, according to the user, often lead to the arrest and deportation of the men. The user further claims that these women lure Nigerian men into setting up businesses for them, or else face indirect consequences orchestrated by the women.
The ‘X’ user explained that there are three ways Kenyan women go about using Nigerian men. They are:
1. The Social Media Trap
The initial tactic is enacted through social media and dating platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Bumble, and Tinder. Allegedly, Kenyan women create alluring profiles and interact with multiple potential Nigerian suitors at the same time.
They participate in discussions of love, exploiting their victims for the payment of their bills.
They allegedly swindle numerous Nigerian men of substantial sums of money, often under the pretense of planning visits to their online partners or providing various forms of assistance.

2. The Deportation Method
The second strategy involves inviting Nigerians to Kenya under the pretense of love and relationships. Upon arrival, the guests are treated nicely.
However, once they feel at ease, their hosts, allegedly orchestrate their arrest and extortion.
This scheme frequently involves detaining Nigerians until their visa validity expires, following which they are charged with overstaying. Many Nigerians, including pregnant women, are reportedly imprisoned in various Kenyan jails.
3. The Business Setup Trap
The third strategy is perhaps the most shocking. Kenyan women allegedly persuade affluent Nigerian men to establish businesses in Kenya, requiring an initial investment of $100,000 deposited in a Kenyan bank. From there, these men are then encouraged to get into Kenyan society and forge long-term relationships with Kenyan women.
However, after a few years, these men somehow get into legal issues with Kenyan law enforcement or immigration, often orchestrated by their partners.
Please note that this information is based on a popular discourse currently trending on X. These allegations are not our personal opinions or assertions. They represent the views and experiences shared by users on the platform.
