Oriyomi Hamzat, the radio host of “Kokoro Alate,” a family-related issues program aired on Agidigbo 88.7 FM in Ibadan, Oyo State, has announced plans to organise a free DNA outreach in Ilorin, Kwara State.

This was disclosed in a video posted on the X handle of a user known simply as Oluwafifehanmi.

During one of his programs, Hamzat stated in the video that the free DNA test outreach would last for two weeks, describing it as a gift from him.

Speaking in Yoruba, Hamzat said, “For two weeks, all the DNA tests that we will do in Ilorin will be free. I’m here to give you all a free gift: free DNA tests, free in Ilorin.”

According to a Guardian report, in 2021, Nigeria was grouped among countries with a very high incidence of paternity fraud, with statistics placing the country second in the world, only behind Jamaica.
