The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has warned that all tertiary institutions must disclose candidates admitted outside the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) before the August 31 deadline.
The board, however, noted that a significant number of candidates have been visiting its offices to resolve issues related to admissions made outside CAPS from 2017 to date.
The examination body, however, clarified that the focus is not on candidates’ actions, but institutions, which are required to disclose all candidates admitted outside CAPS before the deadline.
JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, urged institutions to carefully review the board’s initial letter and ensure full compliance, warning that failure to disclose will result in severe consequences. He also advised candidates not to accept admissions outside CAPS.
The board warned that candidates not disclosed by institutions will not be entertained, and any undisclosed admissions will not be condoned in the future.
