2Thessalonians 2:3-4: “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition. 4: Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.”

Signs are warnings that alert people to be prepared for any future event. It could be something good or bad, but the essence of the warning signal is to properly inform those concerned, so that, they will not be taken unawares.
The rapture of the saints signifying the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ is going to be the greatest event in human history. It shall be a time everyone under heaven will know if his or her sojourn on this earth is successful or not. It will be a time of stock taking, giving account of how one lived his or life on earth.

Our purpose on earth is to attain perfection, while preparing for eternal life with our Lord Jesus Christ. Our Lord shall return and only sinless people will meet him in the air. The warning signals are to alert everyone to be prepared for his return — the rapture of the saints. Currently, the signs of his second coming are evident everywhere, hence Matthew 24:4-13 says: “And Jesus answered and said unto them, take heed that no man deceive you. 5: For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6: And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.7: For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in diverse places.8: All these are the beginning of sorrows.9: Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.10: And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.11: And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.12: And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.13: But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”

There is no gainsaying that these signs are already manifesting in different parts of the world. Today, the killing ofinnocent people in the name of terrorism is on the increase, banditry, religious bigotry are common everywhere. There is no continent in the world that you will not hear of wars. Many nations and tribes, kingdoms are rising against one another. The world as of today is awash with false prophets presenting themselves as gods and preaching heresies. This, however, is not yet the end of the world, but the beginning of sorrow.

The situation presents two sides of a coin: that is sorrow and happiness. The world is full of evil, but the word of God is there for you to make a choice and avoid evil. The people who will choose evil will have sorrow when the trumpet will sound, they will be left out. Today, those who have chosen to follow Christ may be sufferingin this evil world, but they will surely be happy at the end when they will be taken by rapture.

The Bible advises us to endure till the end. The end will come when there is the falling away as stated in the lead scripture. Falling away or religious apostasy is the act of the professed Christians deliberately rejecting the revealed truth in relation to:

i. The Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ
ii. Redemption through His atoning and redeeming sacrifice(1Jn.4:1-3).

Apostasy differs from error concerning truth, which may be as a result of ignorance (Acts 19:1-6) or heresy that could be due to deceit of the Satan (2 Tim.2:25-26) both of these can be found among the people of true faith.

It is unfortunate that apostate departs from the faith, but not from the outward profession of Christianity. When you begin to witness all these, the end will come in a twinkling of an eye. To check all these, there is the need to continually preach the sound gospel at all times. Christians should not rest at this time. We should be up and doing in preaching the gospel. It is through this that the problem of falling away could be countered.

Currently, it is necessary to note that no one knows when the trumpet will sound, but it must surely sound. Christ is coming back for his people; he has gone to prepare a place for them in heaven. That is why Apostle Paul in 1Thessalonians 4:13-18 said: “But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.14: For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.15: For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.16: For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first. 17: Then,we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18: Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”

The second coming of the Lord is to rapture the saints. It will enable both the dead and living saints to meet with the Lord in the air. We are looking forward to meeting once more our beloved dead saints and to part no more with them. The warning signals are necessary so that Christians will miss the rapture of the saints.

It must be noted that no one will remain in the grave for eternity; all, both the saints and the wicked will partake in the resurrection. The resurrection of the saints will take place first, then after a thousand years the wicked will rise, but into death. As a matter of emphasis, the Bible in 1Corinthians 15:51-54 says: “Behold, I shew you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed. 52: In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53: For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54: So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, ‘Death is swallowed up in victory.’”

As earlier stated, there will be two resurrections. The first will be the believers of the church age including the tribulation saints meeting the Lord in the air. This is resurrection into life while the second resurrection into death will be after a thousand years, but these will resurrect into death.

The church is to spread the gospel to save as many as possible. It should preach repentance to enable all meet the Lord in the air. We should, therefore, be watchful so that we will not make a mistake like the five foolish virgins. Therefore, be prepared for the coming of the Lord, depart from every form of sin and let Christ be your focus.

Testimony Of The Lord’s Doing
‘You Are Discharged And Acquitted!’
His Testimony:
My name is Ajikawo Olawale. I have come to glorify the name of the Lord for delivering me from prison. I have been in prison since January, 2024. I owed someone #80,000, but when l could not pay back, the person sent me to Kirikiri Prisons, though I would have come out before now, court was not sitting. All the adjournments given to me were not honoured because court was not sitting.

About a month or two ago, the Lord’s Chosen Prison Ministry visited the prison to introduce a programme to the inmates and after that they began to come every week with edible items (food) to refresh us. We were always very happy to see them because each time they come there would be food and other refreshments for us.

Other churches’ prison ministries have been coming, but Chosen Prison Ministry would always introduce Jesus Christ to us and some of us would accept him and surrender our lives to Christ. Two weeks ago, l met two of their leaders and told them that l would appear in court the next week, they prayed with me and in the night that preceded the Monday I was to appear in court, I had a dream, that was the first time l would have a dream since l was imprisoned. I dreamt, l was helplessly swimming in a river; although I was not drowning, I was crying and asking for help. The river became turbulent and suddenly a whale emerged. At the back of the whale was an inscription: “The God Of Chosen Appeared.”Immediately I read it, I landed on safe ground, the fish disappeared and l woke up. At day break, I began to wonder what that could be, as I prepared for court. However, entering the Black Maria to court l muttered: “this is the last time l would enter this vehicle.”

In the vehicle, l kept saying in my subconscious: ‘The God Of Chosen Appeared,’ till we got to court, where we were locked in the court-cell as prisons officials usually do. But when they began to call inmates for trial I was not called. Then l said, God of Chosen, let my court sit today and as the magistrate sets her eyes on me, let her release me. I was still saying the prayer when I heard my name mentioned. I was then taken intothe courtroom.

Entering the dock, the magistrate looked at me and asked: “Baba, are you still there?” l replied, ‘yes my lord!’ He then said: “appearances.” And a prosecutor stood up for me, I had no lawyer. The Prosecutor, however, said, ‘my lord, we are pleading for one month adjournment.’ As soon as l heard that, on impulse,l shouted, ‘the God of Chosen appear.’ Then the magistrate dropped the biro he was holding and took another and began to write on a paper. After about three to five minutes, he stopped writing and said: “By the power conferred on me as the magistrate of this court, you are hereby discharged and acquitted.”

God of Chosen is very great. May His name be glorified in Jesus’ name…I pray for the G.O. and all Chosen members, may they make heaven in Jesus’ name …amen!
