Terrorists kill three students in Yobe State

Persons suspected to be Boko Haram terrorists have killed three students with one other sustaining injury in the early hours of Friday in Yobe State.
The students were killed when suspected terrorists attacked Faudiya Islamic School (FIS), Geidam, a border community with Niger Republic.
Confirming the incident, on Friday, in Damaturu, spokesman of the Yobe State Police Command, DSP Dungus Abdulkarim, said: “The suspected terrorists attacked the Faudiya Islamic School on 10 motorcycles with AK-47 rifles shooting sporadically at 4pm. The school belongs to the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) known as the Shiite.
“When we received a distress call, the police in Geidam rushed to the school, and discovered that three students were killed with one other injured,” he said.
He said that the injured student was evacuated and taken to the Geidam Specialists Hospital for treatment.
Abdulkarim listed the slain students to include Muhammadu Saleh, 22; Ahmed Abdulrahman, 21, and Abdullahi Adamu, 21, while the hospitalised student is Sani Haruna, 25.
