Governor Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has signed a supplementary budget of ₦99 billion to enable the state implement the new minimum wage and other services.

Governor Yusuf had on 20 August submitted the ₦99bn supplementary budget to the state assembly.

The signing of the supplementary budget followed the passing of the bill by the Kano State House of Assembly.

Speaker of the House, Jibril Falgor, said the budget would enable the state government to implement the new minimum wage and other services as the fund would be extended on recurrent, personnel, and overhead costs.
