
Energy management and industrial automation firm, Schneider Electric, has launched its new headquarters in Ikeja, Lagos.This, the company said, marks a significant step in its commitment to Africa’s economic growth of empowering individuals, communities and industries with sustainable energy solutions.
The new facilitywill serve as a hub for Schneider Electric’s operations in Nigeria and West Africa. Speaking at the launch, Country President, Schneider Electric West Africa, Ajibola Akindele, said the new facility will service countries across the West African market,as a hub to showcase innovation, capabilities and problem-solving expertise.
Highlighting the company’s commitment to Nigeria’s economic growth, he said the company has expanded from 40 employees to 250 employees over the past 19 years, supporting critical sectors such as power, oil and gas, food and beverage, consumer-packaged goods, and the building segment.
He added: “In Nigeria, we have over 300 partners, including distributors, retailers, contractors, system integrators, and panel builders. Building local capacity to support customers is at the heart of our partnership strategy. Through our partners, we indirectly create over 3,000 jobs in Nigeria.”
The Consul General of France in Nigeria, Laurent Favier, congratulated Schneider Electric team for the milestone, assuring them of France’s support.
