Nasarawa speaker urges leaders to use position to alleviate poverty
The Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Mr. Danladi Jatau, has urged leaders in the country to use their positions to alleviate the sufferings of Nigerians.
The Speaker made the call at the funeral service of the former chairman of Kokona Local Government Area, Saidu Kurki Kazi in Garaku on Saturday.
Jatau prayed God to forgive his shortcomings and reward his good deeds with paradise.
” His death was very shocking but God gives life and He takes it at will.
” We urge the family and the people of Kokona to take solace in God,” he said.

The speaker said that the deceased left an indelible life worthy of emulation.
Also speaking, Dr Silas Agara, the Director-General, National Directorate of Employment(NDE), said that posterity would judge leaders in their different positions.
On his part, Alhaji l Mu’azu Maifata, the National President, Association of Local Government Of Nigiria ( ALGON) called on the deceased children to emulate his good deeds.
Earlier in a sermon with the theme “There is Judgment after Death” Reverend in – charge of the Church, Rev. Bitrus Kaya, called on Christians to reconcile themselves with God as death was inevitable and judgement day was sacrosanct.

In attendance were a member representing Kokona East constituency at the State Assembly, Daniel Ogazi, Chairman, Kokona Local Government, Awalu Adamu and the traditional ruler of the area, the Abaga Toni, Mr Lawrence Ayi.
