Chimoney has entered a new phase of its collaboration with the Interledger Foundation (ILF), aiming to transform cross-border payment solutions globally. This collaboration is poised to significantly enhance cross-border payment capabilities, offering businesses in Africa and beyond the tools they need to thrive in the global market through the enhanced Chimoney Wallets.
By integrating Interledger Protocol (ILP) into its platform, Chimoney Wallets will support Interledger Payment Pointers, ensuring secure and compliant transactions. The platform will also allow instant Peer-to-Peer (P2P) transfers, making international money movement more efficient. Furthermore, the integration enhances Chimoney’s cross-border payment infrastructure and API capabilities, enabling seamless transactions across more than 130 countries.
“We’re committed to helping businesses in Africa and other emerging markets overcome the challenges of cross-border payments,” said Uchi Uchibeke, CEO of Chimoney. “This partnership with the Interledger Foundation will unlock new opportunities for growth and innovation, allowing businesses to operate more efficiently and competitively on a global scale.”
As digital payments continue to evolve, Chimoney’s partnership with ILF represents a critical step forward in creating a more inclusive and efficient financial ecosystem. By providing businesses with the tools they need to succeed, Chimoney is contributing to the economic empowerment of entire regions.
