Sin has broken the world and it is only the light of God that can rescue the brokenness of the world. Light is very important in the physical as well as in the spiritual. Sunlight is critical to the survival of the earth; vitamin D and several things that pertain to life come from the sun. All animals — reptiles, eagle, human beings and others — draw power from the sun. Light dissolves the power of darkness (John 1:5).
Light brings lives out of obscurity (Isaiah. 60:1). When your light comes, your personality will be unveiled. Light dissolves the chains of captivity (Acts 12:6-7). Light guarantees restoration and recovery (Luke 15:8). Whatever the devil took from your life can be recovered by light. Light destroys the power of death (Matthew 4:12-16).
Brokenness came into the world long before you and I were born. The brokenness of our world was as a result of the fall of man at the Garden of Eden.When God created the universe, the earth and human beings, everything was perfect. God desired to have a deep and beautiful relationship with us, as we thrived in the world He had created. However, when Eve chose to take a bite of that fruit, everything crashed down. Sin and death flooded into the world and shattered God’s perfect plan. Everything was damaged beyond repairs. God loved us so much that He could not just let the pieces lie where they fell. He refused to give up on His creation. So, He sent His Son, Jesus, to live and die as a human (Hebrews 2:14-18), so that, He will rescue the world from its brokenness. Sin broke things so severely that it created a massive rift between God and us (humans).
The cracks were too deep to traverse on our own. But when Jesus died on the cross and rose again, He filled in those cracks and made it possible for each of us to have a personal relationship with the loving God
You need to embrace light, so, as not to walk in darkness. Darkness does no one any good. It brought sin, evil, wickedness and all manner of unrighteous things into the world and into the lives of people.
You grope in darkness without light. You don’t have to refuse God’s offer of love and restoration. God wants to save, heal and deliver you. But you have a choice to make and that is to turn away from all works of darkness and come into light. Light brings liberation from the grip of sin. If you allow Jesus to come into your life, He will break the power of sin in your life and give you power to live a holy and righteous life.
Walking in darkness will lead you to eternal damnation in hell. The best decision anyone can take on this earth is to choose to live for Christ. Christ makes the difference. He is knocking at the door of your heart. Let Him into your heart, so that, He can set you free from the power of addiction, pornography, adultery, immorality, drunkenness and other sinful habits. You cannot please God except you get into a relationship with Him. God is interested in your soul and I urge you to surrender your life to Jesus Christ. When you do, you will begin to experience the joy of salvation and all the blessings that accompany salvation.
