The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the forthcoming off-cycle gubernatorial election in Ondo State, Agboola Ajayi, has urged the electorate, particularly members of the party, not to be intimidated by the power of incumbency ahead of the poll.

According to Ajayi, the people, when united, will resist any form of ploy to subvert their will. Ajayi, who spoke, yesterday, during a meeting with the youth leaders of the party across the wards, local councils and senatorial districts of the state, said: “We have seen signals, we have seen their plans, and we are not scared of any intimidation because this is our state. What is going to happen is that people will go out and vote. We are not scared of anybody. Once our people peacefully conduct themselves, you can’t take away their rights to vote for whoever they want.”

On his part, the Director-General of Agboola Ajayi Campaign Organisation, Eddy Olafeso, urged the electorate to key into Ajayi’s project, stressing that the PDP will emerge victorious come November 16, 2024.

Meanwhile, the youth leaders of the PDP have assured Ajayi that all would be done to mobilise for the party ahead of the poll.

Jimoh, who was the PDP’s House of Assembly candidate for Okitipupa Constituency I in the 2023 general elections, officially joined the APC at an event held at St. Pius Catholic field in Igbotako Ward II last weekend.
