Edo 2024: INEC begins distribution of materials

The Independent National Electoral Commission on Thursday morning began the distribution of sensitive materials to the 18 local government areas of the state.

The distribution is being done at the Benin office of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in Edo State.

The hired vehicles that will convey the materials to various locations are all on the ground, set for their various destinations.

The CBN Axis was cordoned off to commercial activities as buses plied one way to enter and exit the area.

The State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Onuoha Anugbum, supervised the distribution of the materials.

He confirmed the development to journalists inside the Central Bank before the commencement of the distribution of materials. “Yes, we are here, we have commenced the distribution of sensitive materials to the local government areas,” he said.
