CGAS Energy partners firm for sustainable energy solutions in Nigeria

Towards addressing Nigeria’s energy needs, one of the leading energy firms, CGAS Energy, a subsidiary of Connect Energy Group, has partnered with Motor Jikov Group to establish a network of Compressed Natural Gas Mobile filling stations across the country.

The move is expected to promote cleaner and more sustainable energy solutions for the nation.

Speaking on the initiative, the Chief Executive Officer of CGAS Energy, Mr Tim Talabi, noted that as Nigeria grapples with increasing demand for energy, the partnership will provide an efficient alternative that reduces reliance on traditional fossil fuels. He explained that the introduction of Mobile CNG filling stations will not only enhance energy accessibility but also contribute to environmental sustainability by decreasing greenhouse gas emissions.

CGAS Energy’s extensive expertise in energy solutions, combined with Motor Jikov Group’s innovative technology in CNG infrastructure, positions the partnership for a pivotal role in Nigeria’s energy landscape.

He said the synergy also aims to create a robust supply chain that ensures the availability of CNG for transportation and other sectors, ultimately driving economic growth and enhancing energy security.

The Motorjikov’s mobile CNG stations are designed to meet the growing demand for CNG, particularly in remote areas and places where traditional refuelling infrastructure is limited. The mobile units offer quick deployment and flexibility to serve businesses, transport companies, and residential areas that are transitioning to CNG.

By reducing dependence on permanent stations, the mobile units offer a cost-effective, scalable solution to accelerate Nigeria’s adoption of clean energy. The mobile filling units are also equipped to operate efficiently under various conditions, making them ideal for Nigeria’s diverse landscape.

Available facilities of the CNG Mobile Filling Units include MJ Compact 05, MJ Variant, MJ Variant Plus and the MJ Compact Plus.

Managing Director at CGAS Energy, Sesan Phillips, said: “We are excited to partner with Motor Jikov Group to deliver sustainable energy solutions that align with Nigeria’s ambitious development goals. This collaboration represents a significant step towards a greener future, where clean energy sources play a vital role in powering our economy.”

Director at Motor Jikov Group, Mr. Jiri, said the partnership is not just about business but making a lasting impact on the environment and communities, adding that the firm is committed to providing innovative solutions that meet Nigeria’s energy demands sustainably.

Both parties charged stakeholders, government bodies, and the public to support the initiative of promoting sustainable energy practices that benefit both the people and the planet.
