As part of efforts aimed at supporting vulnerable families, members of the Ark of Light Food & Emergency Bank (ALFEB) recently provided food items to over 1,500 families in Lagos.
The nation’s current economic challenges has aggravated hunger and poverty. Scheduled to begin at 8am, hundreds of people thronged the venue as early as 6am. The event provided more than just essential items, it offered a sense of community and dignity.
Beneficiaries enjoyed cooked food, rice, beans, pasta, noodles, vegetable oil, palm oil, yam and semovita.
Clothes, shoes, children’s toys and financial assistance were also provided to vulnerable families. The event was accompanied by soul lifting music.
Founder of ALFEB and Senior Pastor Gospel Pillars International Churches Prophet Isaiah Macwealth said the food bank’s commitment to empowering families extends beyond material support, but fosters resilience and self-sufficiency. He added the vision for ALFEB continues to provide sustenance and hope.
Macwealth has been involved in various philanthropic initiatives aimed at addressing poverty and assisting marginalized communities in Nigeria.
