Afrobeats singer, Davido, has urged voters in Edo State to remain vigilant as the gubernatorial election unfolds, saying that winning at the polls does not always mean being declared the winner.

The singer made this statement on his X handle on Saturday.
“Winning is one thing. Being declared a winner is another thing! …. From 7pm make una go Dey mount collation center !! #EdoDecide2024,” Davido wrote, urging supporters to closely monitor their votes up to the collation centre.

He further accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of failing to keep its word on electronic transmission of results, describing the institution as the most dangerous in the country.
