
Nigerian Afrobeat star, David Adeleke popularly known as, Davido has brushed off Wizkid’s online jabs and launched his second collection with global sportswear brand, Puma, at their flagship store in New York City.

Despite the drama unfolding on social media, Davido has kept his focus on his partnership with Puma and other brands.
The first collection dropped in April, and now the second has been revealed.

On Wednesday, Wizkid took to X (formerly Twitter) to attack Davido, calling him “talentless” and even mocking him with the nickname ‘Frogido’ after Davido teased his upcoming single. The release date of Davido’s track clashed with a date Wizkid had earlier hinted for his own music.

Unbothered by the online feud, Davido went ahead with the big reveal of his second collection, where Rolling Stone’s staff writer Mankaprr Conteh hosted the event.
During the launch, Davido reflected on his music journey, saying: “You know, the first collection, we were just testing the waters. Because it was a risk for them. Yes, people love my music, but it is different from people who love your music, and people buy your products.”

Davido also took to Instagram, posting exclusive videos from the launch, proudly stating, “I have my own shoe line.”
“Travel, crew, and culture. This is the vibe of the new PUMA x @Davido collection 🔥,” Puma Nigeria wrote alongside various outfits of the singer representing the brand.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, Davido posted about Martell which he has been ambassador to since 2021.
He wrote, “Stay authentic to your craft, resilient on your journey, and lift others along with you. Be the Standout Swift. Are you ready to soar together?”
