Nigerian singer, rapper, songwriter, and actor, Remilekun Khalid Safaru, well known as Reminisce, has opened up about how his album, Alaga Ibile, transformed his life and career.

In an interview on the I Said What I Said podcast, he discussed his journey to stardom.
He said Alaga Ibile did 13 million units in Alaba, Lagos.

“The second album that really broke was Alaga Ibile. It did like 13 million units in Alaba, and that was the moment my life really changed,” Reminisce stated, reflecting on his journey in the music industry.
Reminisce went on to discuss his third album, Baba Hafusa, which arrived during the rise of music streaming in Nigeria.

The album debuted at No. 12 on the Billboard World Chart, marking him as the first African rapper to achieve such a feat.

He further broke barriers with his fourth album, El Hadj, which debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard World Album Chart, making him the first African rapper to have two albums featured on the chart.

Recently, Reminisce released a new EP titled Sui Generis, featuring collaborations with stars like Vector, BadBoy Timz, and Bhadboi OML.
