Indigenous rapper, Remilekun AbdulKalid Safaru better known as Reminisce continues to make great impacts in the music industry as his fourth studio album, ‘El-Hadj’ has been rated number 13 on the Billboard World Album Charts.

Recall that the third album of the self proclaimed Alaga Ibile (Chairman), ‘Baba Hafusa’ was rated number 12 on the Billboard Music Album Charts and now his ‘El-Hadj’ is rated number 13, making him the first African and Nigerian artiste to have two consecutive albums on the Billboard World Albums chart.

In admiration to his fans and artiste he featured on the album, Reminisce said, “It’s been just over a week since my fourth album El Hadj dropped and to say the reception and love I have gotten from fans, the media and critics alike is tremendous is certainly an understatement. It wasn’t easy surely, having to transition my music and brand to this point where I can freely share of my journey, my experiences and my joys.

“With your support, the El Hadj album today debuted at number 13 on the Billboard World Album Charts. I hear from my team that I am the first Nigerian musician to have two consecutive albums make this list, and also the first African rapper to achieve this feat. This fills me with so much joy and gratitude to you my fans and friends. I appreciate the feedback I got on my last album Baba Hafusa, and I took it to heart in crafting an album that I hope will help my new fans understand what process has brought me to this point.

“My aim is to make music that helps my listener get a glimpse into what makes me tick as a person; my highs, lows, joy and pain. What you will experience on the El Hadj album is a man, who has through introspection and critical thought, matured into a more rounded artiste who is as conscious, as he is on the cutting edge of new trends in global music.

“To the fans who have been there from the days of Book Of Rap Stories, up till this moment; I pray that you always find support in all that you do. To my new fans who have recently began to listen to, and appreciate my music, I say thank you for trying Alaga out and promise to always stay true to myself.

“All the artistes I featured on El Hadj gave me their best and I want to say a huge thank you to the Legend 2Baba, my brothers Ice Prince Zamani and Sossick, and the new kings, Mr. Eazi and Solid Star. To my brothers from way back 9ice, Olamide and Seriki…mahn! See how far we have come. Sojay and Oladips my two amazing artistes, I want you to know we are only on the way up…keep pushing.

Thank you to all the media platforms and partners who have continued to show me such massive support on this project. Thank you all. If this album moved you, I hope it helps you to appreciate the time you have spent with your loved ones and helps you to value them more. Thank you all for the support.”
