
The Owa-Onire community in Ile-Ire, Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State has commended the state government on the ongoing developmental projects across the state, especially the construction of the OOWU Waterfalls road project.
A statement signed by the Chairman of the Owa-Onire Central Planning Committee, Mallam Saka Ogunbiyi, said that the various development projects embarked upon by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq are capable of improving the socioeconomic lives of the people and the state.
“It is our fervent belief and prayers that these monumental projects across the state will further encourage Your Excellency’s strong desire to pilot the ship of the state to an enviable harbour which we have, over the years, been yearning for,” the statement read in part.
The people also identified with the governor over the successful conduct of the recent Local Government Elections in the state.
According to them, “the victory at the LGA poll is a clear appreciation and attestation to the love of the people for the present administration and the quality leadership style in the state.”
Similarly, the Onire of Owa-Onire, Oba Ramonu Lawal Ifabiyi, and the community felicitated with Governor AbdulRazaq on the conferment of the traditional title of Sadauna Ngeri of Ilorin on him by the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Zuluqanaini Gambari.
They described the title as a reflection of the governor’s love, integrity, dedication, and commitment to the progress of the Ilorin community and Kwara State in general.
“Your Excellency’s leadership style and selfless service have earned you this well-deserved, respectable traditional title, which indeed is capable of promoting further hands of unity and trust not only in the Ilorin community but Kwara State at large,” they said.
